Privacy Policy

This page explains what Urgent Rishta collects, why, and what
you can do about it. We have tried to write it plainly rather than in legal
language, because a privacy policy nobody can read protects nobody.
The short version. Your profile is only visible to signed-in members —
never to the public or to search engines. You choose who sees your photos and
your phone number. We never sell your information. You can delete your account
at any time, and we then remove it permanently.
What we collect
What you give us
- Account details: your name, email address and phone number.
- Your biodata: date of birth, gender, city and province, caste,
maslak, education, occupation, height, marital status, family details and
anything you write about yourself.
- Photos, and optionally a voice or video introduction.
- A verification selfie, if you choose to verify your profile. It is
used only to confirm you are a real person and is reviewed by our team.
It is never shown on your profile.
- What you tell support when you contact us.
What we record as you use the site
- Whose profiles you view, and who views yours — this is how the
"who viewed my profile" feature works.
- Interests you send and receive, and your matches.
- Messages between you and other members, so conversations persist.
- Payments: the amount, plan, date and reference. We never see or store
your card number — that is handled entirely by the payment provider.
- Basic usage: which pages and features are used, and on what kind of
device. We record that a search happened, never what you typed.
What we deliberately do not collect
- Your IP address is not stored. It is scrambled one way before it is
saved, so we can count unique visitors and spot abuse, but nobody can work
backwards from it to an address or a person.
- The text of your searches is not kept.
- Card and bank details never reach our servers.
Who can see your profile
Only signed-in members. Your profile is not public, is not indexed by Google,
and cannot be viewed by anyone who has not created an account.
Within that, you decide:
- Photos: visible to everyone, to matches only, or hidden until you
choose otherwise.
- Phone number: hidden by default, and shown only to members you have
matched with, on a paid plan.
- Voice and video introductions follow the same rules as photos.
Our team can see profiles in order to review and approve them, investigate
reports, and answer support requests. That access is logged.
How we use it

Marketing messages
We may email you about features or offers. Every one of those carries an
unsubscribe link, and opting out is permanent and immediate.
Opting out does not stop account emails — verification codes, password
resets and payment receipts — because without those you could not sign in or
prove a payment. To stop everything, delete your account.
How long we keep things
- Your account: for as long as it exists.
- After you delete your account: it is hidden immediately and
permanently erased after 30 days. The delay exists so an accidental
deletion can be undone — after that it cannot be recovered.
- Detailed usage records: deleted after 90 days. Only
aggregate counts are kept beyond that.
- Payment records: kept as long as required for accounting.
Who else sees your data
We do not sell your information. It is shared only with:
- The payment provider, to process a payment you have chosen to make.
- Our email provider, to deliver messages to you.
- Google Firebase, if you use the Android app, to deliver push
notifications to your device.
- Authorities, where we are legally required to.
Your choices
- See your data: "Download my data" in the app gives you a copy of
everything on your profile.
- Correct it: edit your biodata at any time.
- Limit who sees it: photo and number privacy settings.
- Stop marketing: the unsubscribe link on any promotional email.
- Delete everything: "Delete my account" in the app.
Security
The site runs over an encrypted connection. Passwords are stored hashed, so
nobody — including us — can read them. Photos are served only to signed-in
members according to your privacy settings.
No system is perfectly secure. Please use a password you do not use elsewhere,
and tell us straight away if you think your account has been accessed by
someone else.
Children
This service is for adults seeking marriage. You must be at least 18 to
create a profile. Accounts we find belonging to minors are removed.
Changes
If we change how data is handled, we will update this page and change the date
at the top. Significant changes will be notified in the app.
